You can help your child by helping them to remember to follow the Three Bs, being safely dressed, prepared for school and responsible for all homework and communication. Most everything is here on the website but if you have any questions, please email me or talk to me at school.
This week we are beginning our Phonics program and your child will bring home their phonics work everyday. Please complete the homework part of the phonics page which is circled on the second side of the page. We started our Rhyming Books, and are learning about sorting in math through sorting objects and counting them. We also have learned about three Thinking Maps so far. The Circle Map, the Bubble Map, and today we learned about the Double Bubble Map. We compared Winnie-The-Pooh and Piglet. This year, my theme is the Winnie-The-Pooh characters and each reading group is named after a character. Winnie and his friends have some wonderful qualities and lessons to teach and the children are fond of them.
It is a pleasure getting to know your children and I really appreciate the classroom help and support helping your children become the best students they can be.
