Sharing: Tiggers (Be sure to look at the new February assignment!)
This week we will meet Mr. O, who likes things that are the opposite. This is a great time to practice opposites and it can be a fun car game. "What's the opposite of up?" Let you child practice as many as you can think of!
The 10th of February will be the 100th Day of School. Your child will bring home a special bag on Monday and can return it anytime during the week, but it must be here by the 9th so we will have it here for the 10th!
This week we will be beginning music with Sean (Desmond's dad) on Friday morning between 8:30-9:00. If you play an instrument and would like to join in, please do! We can sing along with you. The kids love folk songs and and kids songs. We are really excited to begin our special Friday's.
I will be assessing the children this week with the Educational Software for Guided Instruction program that I use. It is not a timed test! It is completed individually using the computer and I sit with each child to complete the different sections of the assessment. I use a variety of assessments, including teacher observation, to determine the grades for the report card which will be given out in March.
This is a reminder that the January Book Chart is due. Please send it in as soon as possible!
