If you add the code INSPIRE, at check out, your donation will be matched $1 for $1 up to $100! I am sure if you look at the materials, you will agree that the children will love using the games and puzzles to gain confidence in language arts and math. Thank you!

We will continue to learn about healthy eating habits with our unit Building a Healthy Me. The children are enjoying the workbook and are becoming aware of including something from each of the 5 food groups in every meal. When their lunches include all 5, we say "high five!" and give them a "high five" at the lunch table. They are quick to point out if one of the 5 was consumed at snack time! I hope these healthy habits carry over to your meal times at home.
We will have a Language Arts assessment and I will share the results with you. As we transition to Common Core, the assessments are being reformulated. This assessment will be used to guide instruction and give us an idea of the children's progress in writing.
Our math journal for December will be a review of standards taught. We are incorporating art and games during math. Offering many ways for children to access the curriculum in one way to keep learning fun and exciting. Be sure to check out our Room K Donors Choose project for the great puzzles and games included.
There will be no sharing in the month of December. It is a short month, but I also realize it is a very busy time for families. In November we focused on family traditions and the children did a great job of sharing special traditions and in some cases, special people, with us!
We will be making latkes this Wednesday with Farracy. She will be reaching out to you to help provide a few things and all help is welcome! Our party mom's will be sending out information about a special holiday party which we will have on Thursday, the 19th at 12:30.
