This week we will conclude our gingerbread theme unit by making giant gingerbread glyphs (Glyphs are often theme-related and artistic. When they are completed, the scene or picture can be compared to the glyph’s legend--the part that tells what each shape or picture stands for--to help you glean information about the person who created the glyph) completing our gingerbread journals, retelling the story with words and pictures, graphing and making a bubble map noting characteristics from the stories. We have had a great time learning during this fun unit which as allowed for a lot of differentiated instruction meeting the needs of all learners.
