Sharing: This week the Tiggers will share.

This week we will meet Ms. V who loves vegetables! This is a great time to let your children try new vegetables. Keep a list of all of the vegetables you child tries this week!
We will be working on our books. The children are creating their own fairy tales and have completed the first page, deciding on their characters. We will now move on to describing our characters and then establish the plot of the story. This is so exciting for the children and admittedly, for me too! It is so fun to see the children excited and working hard on their books.
A big thanks to Reneé for assembling our Animal Books using our new book binder (from Donors Choose) and Dana helped too! We are so proud of the hard work the children put in to these collage books. All of our books will be displayed at Open House in the Spring.
This week, on Thursday, we will hold our annual Kindergarten Round Up from 12:30-1:30. This is a parents only meeting. Mrs. Kort, Ms. Galindo and I will describe the TK and kindergarten programs at Topanga Elementary School. If you know of any prospective parents, be sure to tell them about this meeting. Also, enrollment packets will soon be available in the office. It is quite helpful for us to get as accurate a count as possible so that we can form classes for next year.
*As a reminder: on rainy days, please make sure your child comes to school with a raincoat/waterproof coat and rain boots and or umbrella. We change into regular shoes in the classroom because it is easier for the children to sit on the carpet. Children who buy lunch cafeteria (generally) have to go up the hill to buy lunch and can get quite wet in the process.. Sweaters and sweatshirts get very wet!
We are back to our normal schedule this week:
Monday: Let's Find Out! magazine, Buddies
Tuesday: Speech & Language, PE
Wednesday: Yoga, Council
Thursday: PE, Kindergarten Round Up
Friday: Planet Bravo, Homework Review, Sharing, Science, Art Trek
Have a great week!
Mrs. W.
