“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
― Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!

March 4-8: Parent Conferences, early dismissal all week
March 8th-Dress like an athlete day
March 8th: Great American SpellCheck. Study the words and practice writing the words!
March 14: Kindergarten Round-Up for new students. Tell your friends!
March 18th: School celebration of St. Patrick's day. Wear green!
Here is Ms. W who loves wonderful words! Perfect timing for the week we are practicing and learning words for our SpellCheck spelling test this Friday. Please help your child learn the words and learn to write the words. They are all capable of writing the words, but get very sad if they are not prepared. Please help your child succeed! And remember to contribute to this fundraiser for our school.
This week we will continue to explore rhyming words, read Dr. Seuss books and practice writing rhyming words. We will begin our new March Math Journal and continue counting and work with addition.
Please remember to look at our calendar and Share for the Month of March. You really do have to help your child do this as they are not able to read the calendar themselves. It is part of the weekly homework, though each student shares only once per month.
I look forward to talking with those of you who have signed up for conferences. I will mail home the report cards of those of you who did not opt for a conference..
As Spring approaches we are enjoying more outdoor time and special activities such as blowing bubbles. We have also been in the garden thanks to Hannah and her garden crew.
Thanks to those of you who help regularly in Room K. It is much appreciated!
