We now have four groups for work time which are flexible and change throughout the year. I have grouped children according to ability and peer relations (ability to work together). I am using the Winnie-the Pooh characters to demonstrate positive character traits, so our groups are the Poohs, Tiggers, Eeyores and Pigglets. We rotate during reading time, every 15 minutes, completing four activities a day, including computer time. During math we use the same rotation method. This is the reason parent volunteer help is so important!
I look forward to seeing everyone tonight at Back-To-School Night and I will explain more about the Developmental (Transitional) program at that time.
I appreciate the help you have all been providing helping your children adjust to the new behavior standards here at TECS. Behavior can greatly enhance or detract from our educational program. Keep up the good work!
