Speech & Language: This week we will be practicing the initial /fr/ blend. We will make frogs and our snack of fruit salad will be contributed by Rai!
Sharing: This week the Tiggers will share. We have a new sharing topic for this month: Nursery Rhymes. Each child will prepare a Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme to recite, or act out for the class. This will take a bit more preparation. Please refer to the complete assignment on this site under the "more" tab.

Is your child asking a lot of "why" questions? This is very normal for young children. They are curious about the world around them and want answers! We have been talking about the difference between a question, a statement and an exclamation when we are learning about punctuation marks.
This week we will meet Ms. Y who has a yodeling yawn. We will learn about the letter y as a vowel and practice writing this letter which can be tricky for young children to write due to the diagonal line and the formation of the letter. We will be completing our Handwriting Without Tears books learning to form then numbers correctly (we had done this at the beginning of the year and this is a review). We will begin writing in our own story books after spending last week practicing telling stories with a beginning, middle, and end. We also reviewed character descriptions and plot development. using the eeBoo Tell Me A Story - Mystery in the Forest cards. The children have enjoyed these creative cards and will create their stories in writing this week.
